Part of Charing Healthcare
A Home That Feels Like Family
Rosewood Residential Care Home has been at the heart of the Greenhithe community since 1998, providing the kind of care that families describe as being like an extended family.
Part of Charing Healthcare, which operates 10 homes across Kent and Medway with over 25 years of experience, Rosewood benefits from the strength of an established provider while retaining the warm, personal atmosphere of an individual home. Under the leadership of manager Carol Martin, our dedicated team provides specialist dementia care, residential care, respite, and palliative support.
With 42 bedrooms, including three doubles for couples and around 15 en-suite rooms, Rosewood offers comfortable accommodation in a setting that residents and visitors consistently describe as homely, quiet, and safe.
What We Offer
Care Tailored to Every Need
Whether you need long-term residential support, specialist dementia care, a short respite break, or compassionate end-of-life care, Rosewood provides warmth, expertise, and genuine personal attention.
Residential Care
Permanent and long-term care in a homely environment. Person-centred care plans, 24-hour support, and a team that knows every resident by name. Three meals daily, activities, and companionship.
Specialist Dementia Care
Our team is trained in person-centred dementia support, creating familiar routines and engaging activities that preserve dignity and individuality. As families tell us, we do not let dementia define the person.
Respite Care
Short-term stays to give family carers a well-deserved break, or for recovery after a hospital stay. Respite residents receive the same warmth and attention as every permanent member of our family.
Palliative & End-of-Life
Compassionate care when it matters most. Our team provides comfort, dignity, and support for both residents and their families through the most difficult of times, with overnight accommodation available for loved ones.

Life at Rosewood is shaped by what residents enjoy. CQC inspectors noted that residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible, and residents themselves say it is very homely here. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried, with staff who have a genuine knowledge of each individual’s needs and preferences.
The large dining room opens onto a day room and patio area, creating a sociable space where residents eat together, join activities, or simply sit and enjoy the view of the garden. For quieter moments, there are multiple lounges and a dedicated family room for private visits. Flower arranging, gardening, and exercise classes sit alongside baking, arts and crafts, and reminiscence sessions — ensuring there is always something to look forward to.
Quality & Recognition
Good in Every Domain
Rosewood is rated Good across all five CQC domains. But the recognition does not stop there — our residents and their families are our greatest advocates.
“When I visit, I always find the staff friendly and helpful, and I find them very caring towards the patients.”— Visiting GP, as reported to CQC inspectors
